About this Role

Infrastructure doesn't manage itself - and when it goes sideways, someone needs to know immediately. That's where your team comes in. You'll be part of a group building mission-critical infrastructure cognizance tooling: systems that aggregate data sources to paint a clear picture of what infrastructure was requested, what was actually deployed, and where the two don't match. Subject matter experts across the organization rely on your team's application to investigate discrepancies, define best practices, and build the rules that keep infrastructure deployments on track.

As a Software Engineer I with a focus on streaming analytics and ETL, you'll design and build the pipelines that make all of this possible - transforming raw infrastructure data into actionable insights in real time. You'll leverage AI tools and techniques to accelerate analysis and rapidly prototype new solutions, and you'll collaborate closely with full-stack engineers to make sure your results surface in ways that are clear, useful, and impactful. Given the visibility of this work, you'll interact with a wide range of stakeholders and ship frequently. Your day-to-day will include:

• Building and maintaining streaming data pipelines using Kafka and Python to process infrastructure data at scale
• Developing ETL workflows that reconcile requested versus realized infrastructure states
• Applying AI tools and techniques to accelerate data analysis and rapidly prototype engineering solutions
• Ensuring scalable, reliable data ingestion and processing across the pipeline
• Collaborating with full-stack engineers on the integration and visualization of your results

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in a relevant technical role, or 7 years of experience in lieu of a B.S. in a technical discipline
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Demonstrated use of AI/ML tools to accelerate data analysis and engineering solution development
• Experience with Kafka and streaming analytics
• Working knowledge of relational databases

Preferred Skills

• Experience analyzing cybersecurity datasets such as network traffic and OS events
• Understanding of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
• Hands-on experience with production CNO capabilities and operations
• Familiarity with ClickHouse
• Proficiency with Git and GitLab
• Working knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Exposure to adjacent domains such as dataflow, data science, or mission analytics

Salary Range

$197,500 - $232,500

This range includes our flex income and depends upon your annual work hours.

Salary is determined on an individual basis following the interview process and considering various factors such as years of experience, skills, education, and certifications.
