As a Software Engineer III at Walmart, you will contribute to the development of scalable, secure, and intelligent software solutions across multiple platforms. You will apply strong programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills to build, test, and enhance software systems while leveraging AI/ML and automation technologies to improve business outcomes and customer experiences.
Working closely with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, you will help deliver high-quality software solutions, participate in technical design discussions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers opportunities to grow technical expertise, expand knowledge of modern software engineering practices, and contribute to innovative solutions that drive operational excellence.

What you'll do:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions and services using modern programming languages and engineering practices.
  • Contribute to the delivery of features, applications, and AI/ML-enabled solutions that support business and platform goals.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software components.
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software functionality and development productivity.
  • Troubleshoot software issues, analyze system behavior, and contribute to root-cause identification and resolution.
  • Develop automation tools and utilities that improve engineering efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Support code reviews, testing, deployment, and CI/CD processes to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document technical solutions, best practices, and implementation approaches while sharing knowledge with team members.


What you'll bring:

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
