Software Engineer I - APNT (Onsite)Collins Aerospace is looking for a Software Engineer I with a passion for engineering and the desire to be part of an innovative, dedicated team responsible for industry-leading Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) products. Our team needs engineers interested in architecting, designing, and developing software for real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions for military ground, airborne, and maritime applications.
This position offers abundant opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge of Assured PNT systems architecture, and to apply that knowledge in a team effort to develop our navigation products for the warfighter.

What You Will Do:- As a part of this team, you will have responsibilities spanning all phases of the software engineering life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, code development, integration, verification, and documentation.
- Assignments may include tasks such as developing embedded software, maintaining and updating existing software, designing and developing test scripts and/or tools, writing and maintaining technical documents, supporting field demonstration efforts, and providing customer support.
- The successful applicant should be knowledgeable and skilled with a variety of development and test tools as well as proficient in the development of embedded hardware/software applications.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Qualifications We Prefer:- Experience with C, C++, Ada or other high-order languages in an embedded application environment

- Experience with embedded hardware and real time hardware systems
- Experience with Eclipse, Jira, and Jama
- A working knowledge of Communication Systems, Message Handling, Digital Signal Processing, or Kalman Filter theory

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
