Responsibilities

What you'll be able to do:

Software Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a purely telecommuting/work-from-home position whereby the employee may reside anywhere within the U.S. Product And Requirements Management: Participate in and/or lead the development of requirements, features, user stories, use cases, and test cases. Participate in stand-up operations meetings. Author: Process and Design Documents. Design/Develop/Test/Deploy: Work with the Business Customer, Product Owner, Architects, Product Designer, Software Engineers, and Security Controls Champion on solution design, development, and deployment. Operations: Generate Metrics, Perform User Access Authorization, Perform Password Maintenance, and Build Deployment Pipelines. Incident, Problem, And Change/Service Requests: Participate and/or lead incident, problem, change and service request-related activities. Includes root cause analysis (RCA). Includes proactive problem management/defect prevention activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Configure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, SVN or Git, and deploy to cloud platforms. 2. Monitor applications with structured logging, distributed tracing, health checks, and MTTR metrics to identify and remove bottlenecks. 3. Secure applications, role-based access controls, and vault-based secret injection. 4. Design and author complex SQL for analytics; manage datasets/tables; integrate with Java, C# or Python backends for reporting. 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Design ORMs SQLAlchemy, Postgres, and Oracle 11g, optimize queries via indexing and connection-pool tuning. 2. Convert UI designs/wireframes into responsive and accessible web components using HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, and SCSS, lazy-loading, and component-level unit tests. 3. Write production-grade interfaces, plugins, and adaptable strategies for multi-threaded architectures using Java, C#, or Python; implement scalable stateful web services and handle client-side business logic. 4. Develop RESTful microservices with Spring or Spring Boot, and Maven or Gradle: apply Streams or Reactor patterns; write automated unit/integration tests, TDD methodologies; building in observability features to sustain < 1% error rates under load.

We are offering a salary of $120,349.00 - $183,641.76/yr.
