The Software Engineer designs, builds, and optimizes software systems, APIs, and websites that power critical business operations across the organization. In this senior individual-contributor role, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-based applications and integrations, applying strong software engineering practices and modern DevOps principles. Your technical depth, problem-solving ability, and collaboration skills will help evolve the company's digital foundation, enabling data-driven decision-making and operational.

Technical Focus- Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and Angular web applications.
- Build scalable cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and consume APIs, messaging services, and event-driven integrations.
- Build applications using modern .NET technologies including .NET Core
- Develop and optimize SQL Server database objects, queries, and data access patterns.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering standard
- Support DevOps practices including Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Monitor application health using logging, monitoring, and observability tools.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop scalable APIs, web applications, and backend services using modern engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Translate user stories into well-designed, maintainable software solutions.
- Apply software engineering best practices including clean code, modular design, secure development, and automated testing.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to continuously improve code quality.
- Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, and contribute to system reliability and operational excellence.
- Contribute to application modernization initiatives and technical debt reduction efforts.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.
- Support application monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge by learning new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
- Collaborate effectively across engineering and business teams to deliver high-quality software that provides measurable business value.
Working Conditions- Full-time position based at Groundworks' corporate office in Irving, TX.
- Collaborative, fast-paced work environment requiring adaptability and effective time management.
- Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, training, or industry conferences.
- This role has a base salary range between $100,000- $125,000. Salary is based on candidate experience.
