Software Engineer 1

Position Overview:
Navius Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer Level 1 to join our growing team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This position is ideal for a cleared software engineer with strong analytical skills and a desire to design, develop, and optimize software systems that directly support critical national security missions.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a team lead when appropriate, based on the development process and project scope
- Design and implement complex database interfaces or data queries that enhance system functionality and performance
- Develop or integrate algorithms to meet or exceed mission performance standards
- Assist in the creation and execution of software testing procedures to validate functionality and performance
- Analyze system performance standards and user requirements to develop robust software solutions
- Modify existing software to resolve defects, adapt to new environments, or improve efficiency
- Apply scientific analysis and mathematical modeling to predict and measure software design outcomes and impacts
- Collaborate with users, systems engineers, and other developers to understand workflow, data usage, and potential system challenges
Minimum Qualifications:- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in roles on programs of similar scope and complexity
- Experience in software development, including programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and database development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
