Responsibilities

ThePeraton Health, State and LocalSectorisseeking aSoftware Development, Associateto join us in supporting andmaintainingthe Medicare FeeForService claims processing system. In this role, youwillbe acontributing memberof an Agile teamproviding maintenance and operations support for the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) contract.

As aSoftwareDevelopment, Associate, you will work within a highly structured and rigorous development environment that follows theSAFeAgile/Scrum framework. This position offers anopportunity to build foundational engineering skills whilesupporting a critical healthcare platform.Youwillworkprimarily with mainframe technologies, including COBOL and JCL, to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

You willassistin designing, developing, and enhancing software programs according to established procedures and coding standards. You will also build and execute unit test plans, test cases, and test data to ensure high-quality deliverables.

You will collaborate closely with your team to plan and execute work assignments, ensuring all project due dates and sprint commitments are met. Additionally, you will help install software changes into internal testing regions, troubleshoot and resolve discovered defects, andassistin keeping technical documentation current.

Qualifications
  • Education & Experience:0-2 years withBS/BA, or a High School diploma with 4years of experience.
  • Experiencewith mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, TSO and VSAM.
  • Abilityto perform well in a highly rigorousstructureddevelopment environment.
  • Demonstratedexperience as a software developer in a mainframe environment, preferred.
  • Demonstratedability todetermineand decompose businessand technicalrequirements.
  • Experience withapplication lifecyclemethodologyexperience,specifically Agile/SCRUM.
  • Strong communicationskills and technical writingability.
  • Ability to develop application project solutions andprovideaccurateestimates.
  • Must be able to achieve andmaintainPublicTrust clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Knowledge of health care claims processing, particularly Medicare FeeForService.
  • 2 years of mainframe development experience.
  • Experience with Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B,DMEor Medicare Common Working File (CWF) specific processing systems.
  • Experience working withor in support ofCMSprograms orcontracts.
  • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOpstools and frameworks through plan, define, build, test, release and deploy processes.
  • SAFeAgileexperience and/or certification.
  • Experience with Assemblerlanguagein a mainframe environment.
  • Familiarity with development and collaboration tools: GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse (IDz/RDz).
  • Exposure tomodern languages such as Java or Python.
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
