The Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a Software Development Analyst / Principal Software Development Analyst to design, build, and maintain custom business solutions across our enterprise. In this role you will partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable PowerApps, PowerAutomate workflows, and modern SharePoint sites that accelerate decisionmaking and streamline operations. You will also ensure security compliance and seamless integration with Microsoft365, Azure, and thirdparty services. The position offers the chance to work within a dynamic, diverse team while leveraging cuttingedge lowcode technologies to drive digital transformation and enable datadriven decisions. This position can be remote or located in office in Melbourne, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional lowcode developed solutions.
- Design, build, and configure PowerApps to automate processes and improve user experiences.
- Develop SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, and modern pages; create custom forms and workflows using PowerAutomate.
- Integrate PowerApps and PowerAutomate with Microsoft365 services (Teams, Outlook, Planner).
- Implement security and permission models across Power Platform and SharePoint environments (rolebased access, sharing policies, etc.).
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of apps and flows; ensure solutions meet accessibility and compliance standards.
- Produce comprehensive documentation, user guides, and training materials; conduct enduser training and provide postdeployment support.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and compliance teams to align solutions with organizational policies and organizational changemanagement processes.
- Monitor solution health, maintain version control, and apply updates or enhancements based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
- Stay current with Power Platform and SharePoint roadmap, best practices, and emerging lowcode technologies; champion continuous improvement within the team.
This role can be filled at a level 2 or level 3.
Basic Qualifications:
- (Software Development Analyst) Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 years of experience in software development or a Masters degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 0 or more years of experience in software development
- (Principal Software Development Analyst) Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of experience in software engineering OR a Masters degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 3 years of experience in software development.
- Security Clearance: US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance (investigation within the past 6years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
- Demonstrated experience developing PowerApps solutions.
- Strong SharePoint development background (modern sites, lists, libraries, custom forms).
- Proven expertise with PowerAutomate (flow creation, API integration, scripting).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including technical writing and demos.
- Ability to elicit stakeholder feedback, define requirements, and produce clear documentation.
- Experience with Azure DevOps (pipeline implementation, governance, source control).
- Experience with developing Siemens Mendix low-code applications
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
