Title: Software Developers

Employer: VIAC Services Company (Venerable)

Location: West Chester, PA

Job Description:

Work with the Agile team in creating and stewarding mission-critical data centric systems, micro-services, web applications, and tools. Work across the full ALM lifecycle on all elements of the team's solutions and DevOps pipeline/tooling. Assist in design, implementation, validation, maintenance, and support system to satisfy Venerable customer focused application roadmaps and release plans. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop adequate feature stories, user stories, and acceptance criteria / usage scenarios to deliver effective, useful software. Ensure technical approaches align with architectural blueprints and approved Venerable practices. Work with product managers and release managers to define and schedule product releases and deliverables. Lead design reviews, code reviews, and practice reviews. Participate in documentation of team patterns, standards, and technical approaches. Engage in appropriate SCM, CI, CD, automated testing, and other DevOps practices. Create and maintain unit and BDD test harnesses, snippets, and scenarios. Prepare and maintain technical documentation. Assist with ongoing DevOps activities. Participate in L2+ support for team products and systems. Participate in ongoing operational and practice improvements. Mentor offshore and onshore team members.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or closely related field. Must have experience or academic training with the following: developing enterprise-class SOA/micro-service systems; RDMS database including Sybase ASE and Oracle; RDMS persistence mechanism via JDBC, ODBC, and SQL; Knowledge of OOA/OOD applicability to system and element design; CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, and AWS CodePipeline; AWS mechanisms including AWS Glue, Lambda, and Cloud Watch; code profiling, optimization, and analysis tooling; and Kanban, Lean, and XP practices.
