Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, plus 2+ years of software development experience; equivalent experience may substitute for education.
• Basic understanding of software development concepts and ability to apply programming and analysis principles.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency in C or C++, with working knowledge of Java or Python.
• Capability to quickly grasp and accurately apply new concepts in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; extended hours may be required.
• Must qualify for and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Determine user requirements and specifications for software development planning.
• Implement software design through coding, testing, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware integration issues.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and software feature tests in collaboration with stakeholders throughout the development life cycle.
• Maintain and debug existing code, updating as necessary for changing environments.
• Assist in future application planning based on advancements in technology.
• Communicate effectively with software developers, users, management, and the broader community.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
