Software Architect - Signal Analysis & Hardware ControlWe're looking for a
highly skilled Software Architect to join our Signal Analysis software team and help shape the future of
next-generation signal analyzers. This is a high-impact role that blends deep firmware and measurement technical expertise with leadership across
cross-functional teams and
global teams.
You'll play a pivotal role in designing, guiding, and evolving complex software systems that power advanced signal analysis hardware-driving innovation from concept to delivery.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll DoArchitectural Leadership- Define, own, and evolve the hardware control section for signal analyzer platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
- Partner closely with production, hardware, gate-ware, application and UX teams worldwide to deliver fully integrated system features and designs.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and apply industry best practices to architectural decisions.
- Set the bar for coding standards, design patterns, and development guidelines.
- Lead technical design reviews and ensure alignment with architectural principles.
- Champion the use of AI-powered development tools to enhance product security, quality, and delivery speed.
- Drive simulation efforts to reduce development risk and accelerate time to market.
Team & Technical Leadership- Work with Planning, Field, HW/FPGA architects and ISTs analyzing features and solutions.
- Help drive Hardware and FPGA designs to support software performance and designs
- Experience and knowledge of Commercial Communications and Radar System.
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, guiding planning, prioritization, and execution of project milestones.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture across global and cross-functional teams.
- Partner with project management to drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work with product planning to translate business and customer requirements into elegant technical solutions.
- Partner with Planning, Field, Production, Hardware, FPGA, QA, Support, and Product Management to drive for a complete and successful product solution.
- Collaborate with QA and validation teams to deliver robust, reliable, and high-quality software.
- Clearly communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and technical direction to stakeholders.
QualificationsWhat You BringRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in an architecture or technical leadership role.
- Strong expertise in C# and C++, with experience in embedded systems or instrument control software.
- Experience with signal analyzers or test & measurement instrument development.
- Proven ability to design complex, multi-threaded, real-time systems.
- Experience working well with cross-functional teams.
- Strength with statistical methods.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring or managing engineers.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools (e.g., code generation, static analysis, automated testing, CI/CD optimization).
Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of hardware/software integration and low-level driver development.
- Network knowledge or experience.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts for embedded or edge applications.
- Combination of both Windows and Linux development experience.
Pay is based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.CA pay range: MIN $149,850 - MAX $249,750
