ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

We have an immediate need for a DevOps Software Engineer to join an agile engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems. In this high-impact role, you will build performant telemetry collection mechanisms, manage event streams through message brokers, and leverage Splunk for enterprise data ingestion, storage, and visualization to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of mission-critical HPC infrastructure.

The annual base salary range for this role is $199,000-$235,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

Required Skills

• Software Development: Recent software development experience using both Rust and Python.
• Splunk Platform: Practical experience using Splunk for data collection, message transport, data storage, and presentation/dashboard tools.
• Log Ingestion & Messaging: Direct experience interfacing with log management utilities (Syslog-ng, rsyslog) and message brokers (Apache Kafka).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience applying IaC principles using automation tools, specifically Ansible.
• Linux Expertise & Scripting: Strong command of the Linux CLI, standard system utilities, and writing Bash scripts for process automation.
• CI/CD & Version Control: Practical experience with continuous integration and deployment tools (GitLab CI) and source control with Git.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Finance/Economics, or a related discipline, PLUS 7+ years of specialized data analytics or financial intelligence experience OR Master's Degree in a related field, PLUS 5+ years of specialized analytical experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 9+ years of hands-on intelligence analysis, financial tracking, and data discovery experience in lieu of a degree.

Desired Skills

Search & Analytics Engines: Practical experience with Elasticsearch for search, indexing, and telemetry analytics.

Agile Tooling: Practical experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence) for collaborative workflow tracking and documentation.
