Full Job Description
Overview

We're currently seeking a full-time Social Worker MSW to provide services to in our Adult Psychiatry department.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intake assessments for patients new to the clinic.
  • Provide direct treatment services to patients within the clinic utilizing appropriate modalities including individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention.
  • Provide presentations on pertinent clinical topics to trainees and fellow clinicians.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary diagnostic and treatment planning conferences, including case presentations, and make recommendations regarding the needs of the patient from a social work perspective.
  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (35 hours per week)

Qualifications

  • Masters in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.
  • Current NYS licensure as a LMSW/LCSW.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the mental health field required.
  • Experience, interest, and comfort working with the Severely Mentally Ill (SMI) patient population and group therapy. Experience in trauma-informed care is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal verbal/written communication skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus, particularly in Spanish.


Pay Range

USD $43.61 - USD $60.00 /Hr.
