2 Permanent Full-Time Social Worker / Counsellor (MSW) Union Position - 35 hours weekly Benefits, Pension & Vacation Hourly: $39.24 - $47.74 1 Temporary Full-Time Social Worker / Counsellor (MSW) Union Position - 35 hours weekly Up to 18 months in duration Hourly: $39.24 - $47.74 15% in lieu of benefits Responsibilities: The Social Worker / Counsellor (MSW) carries out duties as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within various programs at Children's Centre Thunder Bay. Responsibilities include implementation of the Service Delivery Management System which includes case management, assessment, treatment, discharge planning and consultation and documentation. The Social Worker / Counsellor will provide clinical leadership and primary case management for the more complex and higher need, high risk adolescents and families in collaboration with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Requirements Qualifications: The Masters Level Social Work/Counsellor position requires: • A Master of Social Work or Counselling degree from a recognized and accredited university or HBSW will be considered. • Five years' experience in the children's mental health or related field of practice. • A Registered Social Work License from the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario. • Knowledge of the range of theories applicable to the children's mental health field. • Knowledge and experience in working with families and children who require mental health. • A valid Ontario Driver's License is required.
