As part of the Stop & Shop in-house creative team, the Social Media Content Creator is responsible for concepting and creating innovative and strategically driven reels, stories, posts, TikTok videos, etc for both organic and paid social, with a heavy focus on helping grow our organic content channels. This Content Creator will have a sincere interest in food and an infectious passion for social media, both professionally and personally-someone who routinely taps into current trends, understand the nuances of content creation for different channels (e.g., TikTok and Instagram), and who knows how to build and engage an audience.
Using proven talent (i.e., we'll be asking for examples of your best work through an online portfolio and/or your social handles) and consistent strategic and conceptual thinking, they will communicate our brand message in a fresh, forward-thinking way across all social media platforms, supporting development and execution of social content.
What we ask of you:
You will be responsible for helping with all things Stop & Shop social media! On any given day, you might create an Instagram/TikTok video, concept social media ideas, help pull together products and props for a video shoot, shoot video content in store, or assist on a photoshoot set specific to video. Your role will include the following:
• In partnership with our Social Content Creative Manager, you will concept social-first content strategies, write copy for social media assets, and assist in the production of content, from shooting in store to making video edits to recording voiceovers if needed.• Help develop breakthrough content and communicate our brand message in a fresh, forward-thinking, platform-specific way across all social media channels, in accordance with Stop & Shop's brand strategy, visual guidelines, and tone of voice.• Keep current with trends across social media, e.g., viral products, editing styles, content types, and concept unique, breakthrough takes on those trends that engage our audience and drive sales in store and online.• Feel comfortable being on camera as you represent Stop & Shop in an authentic and engaging way.• Execute specific requests based on monthly, weekly, and daily briefs from partners amidst an ever growing, dynamic business and social media landscape.• Collaborate with our art directors, copywriters, producer, photographer, digital channel stakeholders, brand strategy, and project management to effectively meet project objectives, schedules, and deadlines.• Take initiative to understand business needs and marketing requirements to devise strong branded assets and content that's relevant and authentic to each channel.• Receive constructive, business-driven feedback and adapt creative accordingly and in a timely manner.
What you bring to the table:
• BA in Graphic Design, Photography, Media, Communications, or similar degree or equivalent experience• Proven talent: Online portfolio and/or links to your social media accounts that showcase examples of relevant content, which could include:• Videos• Instagram story frames, carousels, or reels• Tiktok videos that capitalize on platform trends• 2-5 years of related work experience• Your own following on social media is a plus• Working knowledge of Adobe AfterEffects is a plus• Passion for and mastery of social media platforms, including an understanding of how the algorithm works and hashtag strategy for Instagram, Tiktok and Facebook.• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite• Skilled at photography and video on iPhone• Skilled at video editing• Sincere interest in content creation and food• Intelligent thinking, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail• Local travel required• There is a requirement to work in our Quincy, MA office or Weymouth, MA studio at least 3 days per week. This is not a remote role.

The salary range for this position is $86,320-$129,480 and will be commensurate with background, experience as well as internal equity.
