Description Summary:Under the direction of the Building Principal, the SEL Coordinator is responsible for supporting school-wide initiatives for student social-emotional learning (SEL), with a focus on removing barriers to learning. This role supports behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health systems to ensure all students particularly students of color and students receiving educational benefits have what they need in order to be successful in high school.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Lead the Student Assistance Team (SAT) and coordinate non-teaching staff who support students' academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and overall well-being.
- Work with district MTSS Lead and relevant HHS staff to coordinate the MTSS process at HHS.
- Use data to inform continuous improvement across all tiers of support.
- Collaborate with the high school administrative team to train & support the Safety Coach team to increase the time that students are in class.
- Support Royals Connect to ensure the process is being followed school-wide.
- Lead student groups as needed to build resilience and positive orientation toward school.
- The SEL Coordinator may also be assigned other duties as needed.

Qualifications:Required- Leadership experience at the secondary school level, with ability to collaborate across roles and departments.
- Strong knowledge of equity-based practices and systems-level improvement.
- Experience using data to inform decision-making and instructional planning.
- Extensive experience working with secondary students.
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred- MN administrative or school social work licensure preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Spanish or Somali preferred.
Experience Requirements- At least 3 years of leadership at the secondary level in a lead, coordinator or administrative role.
Compensation and Work Schedule:- Schedule: 1.0 FTE, 185 Days Flex, willingness to work year-round on a flexible calendar

- Range: $91,512 - $104,638 depending on qualifications
