Senior Data Architect – CACI Agile Solution Factory (ASF)

The Opportunity:

Join CACI’s Agile Solution Factory (ASF)—a leader in delivering secure, modernized, and data‑driven solutions for critical government missions. We are looking for a collaborative, forward-thinking Senior Data Architect who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys shaping enterprise-level data capabilities.

In this high‑visibility role, you will work closely with Enterprise Architects, government civilians, and military personnel to design innovative, data‑centric solutions that power decision‑making across mission-critical systems. Your expertise in data strategy, governance, modeling, and quality will play a pivotal role in modernizing customer applications and ensuring they deliver trusted, actionable insights.

If you’re a self-starter who loves solving complex data challenges, partnering with cross-functional teams, and influencing enterprise architecture—this is the opportunity to make a measurable impact.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Data Architect, you will:

  • Maintain and continuously update architecture product inventory.

  • Analyze business processes to refine data sources for management, analytics, and visualization.

  • Design, implement, and optimize secure, efficient logical and physical databases.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting outputs, summarization needs, and data formats.

  • Determine and specify detailed logical and mathematical operations for programs and personnel in data systems.

  • Assess project requirements to create new programs or modify existing ones.

  • Participate in scope and requirement meetings to clarify project needs and limitations.

  • Review workflow charts and database management procedures to ensure alignment with system tasks.

  • Develop comprehensive data models, logical access descriptions, and physical database specifications.

  • Create documentation, reports, and manuals supporting new or upgraded systems.

  • Establish procedures to detect and correct data-quality issues; develop governance policies and controls.

  • Ensure privacy controls are properly enforced across all data processes.

  • Implement data curation practices to align data lifespan with mission requirements.

  • Seek, manage, and integrate spatial data (classified & unclassified), connecting it to mission datasets.

  • Design methodologies for data movement, storage, pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and structured/unstructured data.

  • Support data exploration, anomaly detection, transformation, and merging into unified data stores.

  • Conduct data mining and retrieval activities.

  • Enable data visualization using multiple tools and platforms.

  • Provide outstanding customer support and partner with analytical units to translate challenges into solutions.

  • Lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) sessions and collaborate with internal/external partners to advance data management excellence.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, MIS, or related discipline (equivalent experience considered).

  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Architect.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly collaborative with strong teamwork orientation and work ethic.

  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.

  • Solution-driven mindset with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Ability to work effectively with limited oversight.

  • DoD 8570/8140 compliance (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP CE).

  • Deep mastery of DoDAF and UAF frameworks.

  • Proficiency with enterprise modeling tools such as ARIS, Visio, MagicDraw, and platforms like Vantage and Army 365 Power Platform.

  • Ability to create, update, and manage government architecture viewpoints and models.

  • Experience integrating work with Enterprise Architects and Data Scientists.

  • Full capability to execute the responsibilities listed above.

Desired:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms (SaaS/PaaS).
