Responsibilities

Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, andultimately theend-user whooperatearound the globe 24x7x365.

Systems Administrators provide various project management, technical, and administrative support for assets employed at approved global locations and support the development of policies and procedures. They mustpossessstrong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, in addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Government9;s systems9 hardware and software.

 

Systems Administrator

  • Performs tier one and two network and systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD.
  • Provides support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems.
  • Maintains file servers, network access, documents, analyzes and troubleshoots systems anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
  • Monitors and controls one or more mid-range application servers.
  • Studies program operating instructions to determine equipment setup and operations.
  • Monitors the operation of assigned applications and storage devices and determines the point of hardware or software failure.
  • Troubleshoots and configures systems in accordance with standard procedures to continue operations when individual units of a system malfunction.
  • Coordinates with software systems engineering or applications developers as necessary to correct errors.
  • Maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports.
  • Installs operating system software, patches, and upgrades.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Configures, optimizes, fine-tunes, and monitoring operating system software and hardware.
  • Performs system backups and recovery.
  • Conducts server builds.
  • Completes troubleshooting issues related to infrastructure including VDI components.
  • Develops and maintains SOPs for the infrastructure including VDI Environment

    • Master9s degree with 6 years of relevant experience
  • Security Clearance:
    • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Certifications (Required):
    • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
  • At least 2 years of previous experience working as a System Administrator.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to communicate exceptionally well both orally and in writing, as well as have a positive customer service attitude
  • Strong proactive team player.

 

  • Desired Qualifications:
    • Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451 - System Administrator- Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.

 

Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual9s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
