Responsibilities

Peraton requires a Zero Trusts Manager to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

 

Peraton has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Modernization and Automation Lead providing comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services. The Modernization and Automation Lead will provide contractor management, direction, administration, and leadership of the execution of Enterprise-wide requirements for the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) in support of United States (U.S.) Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The Modernization and Automation Lead assigns tasks to contractor personnel, supervises ongoing SITEC 3 EOM technical efforts, coordinates with the USSOCOM TPOC, and enhances overall system performance.

The Modernization and Automation Lead must be self-motivated and will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally. The Modernization and Automation Lead must have good management and communication skills to interact and coordinate effectively with both internal and external executive leadership teams.

 

The Modernization and Automation Lead will assist the Government in developing and documenting Architect and Engineering (A&E) Services policies and procedures. He/she interfaces with operations and maintenance (O&M) personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed. The Modernization and Automation Lead reviews existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required. He/she manages and responds to Government issues, concerns, and comments, and proactively alerts the Government to performance issues.

 

The Modernization and Automation Lead will manage Contractor and subcontractor staff, ensure staff development, and work with third-party vendors applicable to his/her site as needed. He/she must be able to review task plans and deliverable items and manage schedules in line with budget. The Modernization and Automation Lead will ensure all personnel within his/her responsibility receive adequate guidance and direction for performing their daily tasks and will be responsible for developing/presenting briefings, preparing correspondence, and submitting project status reports as required.

 

The Modernization and Automation Lead will typically lead technical efforts across the entire SOF Information Environment (SIE) supporting the CIO and Chief Engineer’s vision for modernization and automation of the SIE.  Interactions will include New Technology Scouting (within DoW and Commercial advances), Component and TSOC engagement on behalf of the headquarters, and direct coordination with SOF Acquisitions, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) Enterprise Information System (EIS) to coordinate technical alignment procurement to CIO strategy.

 

Typical Responsibilities include:Experience in Architect and Engineering services to provide comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services. Manage the interface with Operations and Maintenance personnel through strategic design and support. Experience managing the review of existing architectures, making recommendations, and assisting with design and implementation of systems and network improvements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

• Min 12 years with HS degree, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA 
• DoW TS/SCI clearance
• Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 802– IT Project Manager - Intermediate level or higher
• Must possess five (5) years of experience managing IT professionals
• Must possess experience working on a global-based, enterprise-wide project communicating with local and long-distance Government personnel
• Must Possess experience from previous roles in Enterprise Solutioning to include servers, storage, databases, and web/portal servers
• Must possess high-level customer interaction/briefing experience, especially delivering technical data to a non-technical audience

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Possess experience with IT Service Delivery using an ITIL/ITSM framework similar in size, scope, and complexity to the requirements of this TO.
• Experience (assigned or working with) the SOF community.

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
