Responsibilities

Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

 

Systems Administrators supporting the Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) providespecialized administration, maintenance, and operational oversight in accordance with the SIE OPORDand DoW securemessaging requirements. AMHS Administrators must possess strong analytical,troubleshooting, and communication skills, along with deep technical knowledge of Governmentmessaging infrastructure, enclave configurations, and crossdomain messaging workflows. AMHS is a missioncritical enterprise system supporting TSOCs, Components, and strategic/tacticalcommunications, administrators must demonstrate proficiency in secure messaging protocols,system continuity, and rapid fault isolation.

 

AMHS Administrators monitor, maintain, and control midrange application servers hosting AMHSservices, ensuring message delivery, routing integrity, and system availability. They review and interpret

system operating instructions, validate configuration baselines, and execute system manipulations inaccordance with established procedures to sustain operations during hardware, software, ormessagingqueue failures. Administrators coordinate closely with software engineers, cybersecuritypersonnel, Vendor and DISA PMO when system anomalies require changes to configurations, routinglogic, or operational sequences. They maintain detailed operating records, messageflow performancelogs, user accounts and systemhealth reports to support compliance and audit readiness.

 

Typical AMHSFocused Duties:

  • Install, configure, and maintain AMHS operating system software, patches, and upgrades across messaging servers and supporting infrastructure.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve AMHSspecific hardware, software, and messagingflow issues, including routing failures, queue corruption, and delivery anomalies.
  • Monitor and optimize AMHS server performance, message throughput, storage utilization, and system health indicators.
  • Perform AMHS system backups, recovery operations, and continuityofoperations procedures to ensure message retention and system resilience.
  • Conduct AMHS server builds and enclave integrations, ensuring compliance with DoD messaging standards and SIE configuration requirements.
  • Troubleshoot virtual components used by AMHS operators and messagecenter personnel.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for AMHS administration, messagecenter workflows, and enclavespecific configurations.
  • Provide system administration support for AMHS environments hosting complex operational databases, routing tables, configuration control, and system interfaces.
  • Maintain, create and troubleshoot AMHS user accounts and anomalies associated with AMHS application
  • Maintain AMHS file servers, network access, and system connectivity, documenting and resolving anomalies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support Identity Management functions relevant to AMHS, including AD/GAL synchronization, account provisioning, and rolebased access control.
  • Provide Directory Services support (DNS, GPO, AADC, ADFS, DFS, Domains & Trusts, Sites & Services) as required for AMHS authentication and routing dependencies.
  • Support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for AMHS digital signing, encryption, certificate management, and secure message handling.
  • Troubleshoot PKIrelated AMHS issues, including middleware configurations, certificate failures, and client/server authentication errors.

Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
