Site Supervisor - HVAC Controls

Johnson Controls' Building Solutions, North America business is seeking an onsite Site Supervisor to support a local customer and lead construction project execution with a strong focus on technical coordination, customer communication, and safe delivery.

Role Overview

In this role, you will manage day-to-day onsite construction activity for a medium to large project, helping ensure scope, schedule, quality, and customer expectations stay aligned. You will work closely with subcontractors, project teams, commissioning partners, and customer personnel to keep the job moving forward and to support BAS controls, electrical, and mechanical system work from installation through completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on the critical path to support timely completion.
  • Program and assist with troubleshooting when needed to keep work progressing.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities for the work being performed onsite.
  • Communicate with the project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and material submittals.
  • Ensure subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.
  • Interface with site customer personnel to ensure conformance to Drawing, Hardware, Software, and Graphics site standards.
  • Coordinate commissioning and validation activities on-site with commissioning agents and site automation engineers.
  • Schedule commissioning and validation activities with the Validation Engineering Team.
  • Perform technical reviews of test documents, software, and graphics.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Maintain a daily written log of jobsite activities and project progress.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work and address issues.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance related to quality of work or scheduling.
  • Ensure deficiencies identified by the project team are corrected.
  • Walk the project daily to monitor activities, support future planning, and complete punch list items.
  • Keep the job site clean, organized, and ready for productive work.
How You Will Do It
  • Own the site with accountability and integrity by tracking progress closely, addressing issues early, and following through on commitments to the customer and project team.
  • Stay close to the work by spending time on the jobsite, walking units daily, and removing obstacles that could affect schedule, quality, or safety.
  • Work in a disciplined, organized way by coordinating critical-path subcontractors, managing daily priorities, and keeping documentation current and accurate.
  • Improve every day by identifying non-compliance, resolving conflicts quickly, and using clear communication to drive corrective action and better execution.
  • Win as one team by collaborating with commissioning agents, site automation engineers, the Validation Engineering Team, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders.
  • Protect the customer experience by making sure work aligns with Drawing, Hardware, Software, and Graphics site standards and by keeping communication clear and professional.
