Project Construction Superintendent

Location: Project-Based Reports To: Project Manager/Construction Manager

Position Summary

The Project Construction Superintendent leads on-site construction execution, driving safety, schedule, quality, and subcontractor performance. This role owns field operations from mobilization through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and in alignment with contract requirements. This is a travel-intensive field leadership role suited for candidates who thrive on active job sites and dynamic environments.

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements
  • Minimum 40 hours per week; extended hours, nights, weekends, and shift work as project demands require.
    • 85-90% travel required with the majority of time spent on active project sites.
    • Frequent out-of-town and out-of-state assignments with potential extended stays.
    • 10-15% remote work for reporting, documentation, and coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily field operations and subcontractor coordination.

    • Coordinate materials, equipment, deliveries, and subcontractor activities.
    • Interface with owners, inspectors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
    • Support change management, turnover, and project closeout.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction field supervision experience.
    • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods.
    • OSHA 30 preferred.
    • Experience with Procore or similar platforms.
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
    • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to safely operate vehicles and travel extensively between project locations.
    • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and temporary access structures.
    • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active on construction sites for extended periods (1-4 hours at a time).
    • Ability to traverse uneven terrain and active construction work areas.
    • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions while wearing required PPE.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
