DESCRIPTION: The Superintendent oversees work being executed on the construction project site. They are responsible to ensure the work is completed with respect to the established schedule while ensuring Broccolini's quality and safety standards are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - In conjunction with the project team, create and oversee schedules
- Plan and manage site meetings
- Ensure the execution of all site work meets Broccolini standards
- Collaborate with site team to respond to all on-site requests
- Review sub-trade contracts
- Quantify and confirm required materials to be ordered
- Oversee the arrival of equipment and material
- Coordinate all on-site paperwork including plans, directives and supplementary instructions
- Ensure daily work reports and work plans are current
- Guide MS Project schedule to manage priorities and meet milestones
- Ensure deficiencies are fixed and the highest level of quality control is maintained
- Ensure work executed on site meets Broccolini's Health & Safety standards and apply policies as necessary
- Execute all other tasks related to the successful execution of the project
QUALIFICATIONS: - Trade school diploma or technical diploma in Construction, Building, Civil or Architecture
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial or residential construction industry as a Superintendent
- Strong leaderships skills and experience managing a team
- Ability to demonstrate a solid track record of successfully completed projects
- Proficient in reading plans and specs
- Good computer skills and solid knowledge of MS Project
- High level of availability
- Strong decision-making skills and shows good judgement
- Ability to quickly build strong relationships and resolve complex issues
- Possess a valid driver's license
