Full Job Description
Position Summary TheSite Superintendentis responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the highest quality standards. This role provides effective leadership to site teams and subcontractors while working closely with the Project Manager, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.

TheSenior Site Superintendentis responsible for all duties of the Site Superintendent while taking on larger, more complex projects and providing advanced leadership, guidance, and mentorship to site teams and other Superintendents.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Site Management
  • Lead and supervise site staff, foremen, labourers, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct daily site coordination meetings and weekly trade meetings.
  • Drive schedule performance through proactive planning, coordination, and problem-solving.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, productive, professional, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to site personnel.
Construction Operations
  • Manage daily site operations, logistics, sequencing, and coordination.
  • Coordinate trade partners, suppliers, equipment, and material deliveries.
  • Oversee concrete, structural, site servicing, and building construction activities.
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively address issues that may impact milestones or completion dates.
  • Conduct site orientations and ensure clear communication among project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate construction activities to minimize delays, conflicts, and site disruptions.
Quality Control
  • Monitor construction quality and ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, codes, and company standards.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve construction issues in collaboration with the Project Manager, consultants, and trade partners.
  • Coordinate inspections, track deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Promote a culture of quality and accountability across the site.
Health & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with company safety programs, policies, and applicable OH&S regulations.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections, hazard assessments, and pre-job planning.
  • Ensure required safety documentation is completed and maintained.
  • Address unsafe conditions and practices promptly.
  • Support incident investigations and follow-up actions when required.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete Daily Construction Reports and maintain accurate site records.
  • Track and report project progress, deficiencies, constraints, delays, and site correspondence.
  • Maintain project photographs, as-built information, inspection records, and other required documentation.
  • Provide timely updates to the Project Manager regarding site progress, issues, and potential risks.
Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Coordinate site reviews, inspections, and meetings with consultants, inspectors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Communicate consultant comments and deficiencies to the appropriate parties and track them through to completion.
  • Support occupancy requirements, project closeout, and turnover activities.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Site Superintendent in commercial, mixed-use, residential, concrete, or similar construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, QA/QC, site logistics, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain project schedules in a fast-paced environment.
