SALARY

$88,8462 - $98,779

New hires may earn a salary ranging from the minimum to the midpoint of the pay scale, with education and experience taken into consideration.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Site Operations Manager (SOM) is the onsite operational leader for an assigned supportive housing building. This position ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors while upholding Plymouth Housing's mission-driven commitment to dignity and community.

The SOM oversees all building operations, including rent collection, unit turnover, cleanliness, safety, compliance, and hospitality-forward resident services. They lead the 24/7 operations team, manage building budgets, track key performance indicators, and maintain readiness for inspections and emergencies. Working closely with partners across departments-including Facilities, Safety, and Resident Well-Being-the SOM ensures consistent service delivery, stable building systems, and a respectful, inclusive community environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily building operations and supervise staff across all shifts to ensure 24/7 consistency, safety, and hospitality.
  • Lead rent collection, unit turns, building cleanliness, access systems, and operational record keeping.
  • Conduct lease signings, enforce lease requirements, and ensure compliance with landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing, and Plymouth policies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as occupancy, rent collection, incidents, and inspection results; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead funder inspections and ensure timely readiness, coordination, and follow-up on findings.
  • Partner with Facilities to coordinate repairs, maintenance, and preventive work; ensure vendor performance meets quality standards.
  • Manage building budgets, review expenses, and track inventory of supplies and janitorial materials.
  • Address unauthorized onsite activity, ensure consistent enforcement of guest policies, and collaborate with safety and emergency partners as needed.
  • Support and model crisis-intervention, trauma-informed, and harm-reduction approaches in complex resident situations.
  • Maintain professional, resident-centered communication and lead conflict resolution aligned with Plymouth's values.
  • Promote a hospitable and dignified resident experience, ensuring welcoming common areas, daily refreshment services, and dependable front desk presence.
  • Oversee distribution of community resources, pantry and hygiene items, and harm-reduction supplies according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-department partners to ensure clean, safe, and stable housing environments for all residents.
  • Serve in the after-hours on-call rotation, providing leadership and decision-making during urgent building situations.

  • Strong organizational and time-management ability to handle multiple operational priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and property management software (e.g., Yardi).

  • Experience partnering with Facilities, Safety, or Behavioral Health teams preferred.
  • Experience supervising in a unionized environment preferred.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills highly desirable.
