Job Title:

Site Leader-Operations Manager

Summary:
As the Site Leader, you will serve as the senior leader of our Texas City manufacturing facility, overseeing a team of approximately 40 employees and managing a $10 million operating budget. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact by driving operational excellence, strengthening a culture of safety, and developing a high-performing workforce while supporting the site's strategic business objectives.

In this role, you will be accountable for all aspects of plant operations, including manufacturing performance, environmental health and safety, quality, workforce development, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead a talented team, set the vision for operational success, and create an environment where employees are empowered, engaged, and focused on delivering results.

The successful candidate will champion cost optimization, productivity improvements, and process reliability while ensuring world-class standards for safety, quality, and environmental stewardship. Working closely with cross-functional business leaders and manufacturing sites across the global network, you will identify and implement best practices that enhance performance, reduce variability, and strengthen operational competitiveness.

Responsibilities Include:

Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Ensures site compliance with all safety, health and environmental laws, codes and standards.
  • Provides leadership to the site and its personnel to drive continuous EHS improvement; high visibility on the factory floor driving improvements and accountability.
  • Working with EH&S professional staff, develops and implements programs, processes and procedures to ensure the safety and health of all associates working at the site.
  • Develops and maintains a constructive relationship and dialogue between the site, the community and local regulatory bodies as appropriate.
  • Aligns operations activities with Momentive's core values of safety and environmental responsibility.

Human Resource Management
  • Establishes employee performance expectations and ensure that these expectations are met throughout areas of responsibility.
  • Establishes and implements direct training and development program for operating personnel together with HR.
  • Aligns site policies and practices with company policies, procedures and expectations.
  • Directs the activities of the entire production workforce.
  • Hires, consistent with Senior Leadership Team approval, trains, develops and promotes associates in support of Momentive long-term business goals, and the personal career goals of the associates.
  • Take responsibility for works council negotiations in terms of Manufacturing related matters at site in conjunction with HR.

Productivity/Cost/Finance
  • Develops annual and multi-year budgets and plans targeting year-after-year performance improvement.
  • Manages and measures cost performance, and takes corrective cost control action.
  • Develops, leads and directs site productivity improvement programs and processes, implementing CI initiatives, to drive human and capital resource optimization.
  • Ensures site compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor all plant costs, and explain adjustments and variances.

Capital/Facilities and Process Improvement
  • Manages site capital planning and spending to both reduce business and EH&S risk, and improve cost and profitability.
  • Ensures site maintenance is adequate and appropriate to support business reliability needs and to maximize unit up-time.
  • Utilizes most effective technology assessment to improve overall process capability, yield, and configuration.
  • Champions continuous improvement methodology usage across the site to reduce waste and variability.

Quality and Customer Satisfaction
  • Ensures timely delivery of quality products to customers.
  • Organizes and enables quality improvement efforts at the site, aligned with business and customer priorities.
  • Ensures appropriate internal and external customer focus in daily activities on site.
  • Manages and measures overall customer satisfaction of delivered products and services.
  • Manages the quality management system ( ISO 9001).
  • Ensures effective coordination between work teams both on and off-site.
  • Leads the site and its personnel in a way that supports achieving business results and growing the capability of the site and its people.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between the site and the business.
  • Champions, sponsors, leads and participates on a variety of functional and cross-functional teams in an effective manner.


Qualifications:

The following are required for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline or relevant employment experience
  • 10+ yrs chemical manufacturing experience and 5 + yrs experience as a people leader
  • Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Knowledge of process safety, environmental, health, and regulatory requirements applicable to chemical manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and employee engagement skills


The following are preferred for the role
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or similar methodologies.
  • Experience managing production planning, maintenance coordination, and resource allocation in a manufacturing environment.

What We Offer:
Base Pay Range: $121,000 - $177,100

The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable. Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
