Pittston, PA
The Site Engineering Specialist is a customer-facing role serving as the single point of contact onsite to support the automation systems post-implementation. This role guides the customer's onsite technicians, drives operational excellence, and acts as the primary liaison between the customer and TGW for all automation-related matters. The Site Engineering Specialist ensures the overall performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of the material handling system. This role is based at the customer facility in Pittston, PA.

What you'll be handling
  • Serve as the primary onsite liaison between the customer and TGW, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and effective execution of automation-related activities.
  • Guide and develop customer maintenance and operations teams, providing hands-on support, mentorship, and training to improve overall system knowledge and capability.
  • Build strong relationships with customer leadership and site personnel to proactively identify improvement opportunities and mitigate operational risk.
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance activities, including Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), troubleshooting, and repair of automated systems.
  • Provide advanced technical support (electrical, mechanical, and controls) and mentor technicians in resolving complex system issues.
  • Support incident management, ensuring timely resolution of issues and leading root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
What you'll need
  • High school diploma required. Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of mechatronic troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems (conveyors, AS/RS, shuttles). Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in automated warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong leadership and people development skills, including experience mentoring both technicians and customer teams.
  • Comfortable leading other team members without formal direct reporting relationship.
  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms and maintenance planning processes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
