Position SummaryThe Skilled Nursing Center Site Administrator (SA) is responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that delivers high-quality clinical care in a homelike setting while ensuring compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations governing long-term care facilities.
This leader serves as a champion for long-term and post-acute care services, combining healthcare expertise, operational excellence, and compassion to support residents, families, and staff. The Site Administrator plays a critical role in advancing UVM Health Network Continuing Care's strategic priorities related to access, affordability, quality, and community health.
The SA will also contribute to the ongoing improvement and evolution of post-acute and long-term care services, helping identify opportunities to better meet the changing needs of the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership and direction for the skilled nursing center.
- Foster a culture centered on quality, safety, service excellence, and resident-centered care.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and develop interdisciplinary teams while promoting engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, resource management, and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to achieve strategic goals and advance care delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality outcomes, resident satisfaction, and workforce excellence.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, community partners, healthcare providers, and key stakeholders.
- Champion innovations that enhance long-term care and post-acute services.
Required QualificationsEducation, Licensure, and CertificationRequired- Vermont and/or New York Nursing Home Administrator License.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Preferred- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
Experience, Skills, and AttributesRequired- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive management experience with increasing leadership responsibility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Management experience in one or more of the following settings:
- Skilled Nursing Center
- Residential Care Facility
- Assisted Living Community
