SharePoint EngineerWe are seeking a
SharePoint Engineer to serve as the primary engineering lead for the collaboration portion of a large-scale
Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration. The initial focus will be SharePoint Online and OneDrive, with potential Power Platform integrations. This role will lead migration strategy and planning while partnering with engineering and Production Services teams through execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the engineering effort for Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations focused on SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
- Analyze source environments, including content, usage, applications, integrations, principals, and business-critical processes.
- Develop migration strategies, blueprints, recommendations, and wave plans.
- Identify migration risks, gotchas, dependencies, and sequencing considerations.
- Partner with engineering and Production Services teams on cutovers, escalation support, and post-migration activities.
- Develop documentation, change requests, technical write-ups, and project tracking materials.
- Participate in Agile/Sprint planning and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications- Recent, hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
- Strong SharePoint Online and OneDrive expertise.
- Strong PowerShell scripting experience.
- Experience analyzing complex enterprise environments and developing migration strategies.
- Ability to identify application integrations, dependencies, risks, and business-critical content.
- Strong leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications- ShareGate experience.
- Broader Microsoft 365/collaboration platform experience, including Power Platform/Power Automate.
- Enterprise-level experience; regulated industry experience is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Sprint environments.
This is a technical leadership role-not simply an execution-focused position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable defining strategy, leading planning, and driving migration efforts while working closely with a larger engineering organization.
