DescriptionWFSE Article 4.7 Internal Transfer Opportunity Sex Offender Treatment Therapist (Corrections Specialist 4 - SX50)The Sex Offender Treatment and Assessment Program (SOTAP) with Health Services has a permanent, full time, Sex Offender Treatment Therapist (Corrections Specialist 4) opening available. This position is located at Tacoma Field Office. The SOTAP CS4 position offers a unique opportunity to put your clinical skills to work. SOTAP's community treatment providers work diligently facilitating treatment groups to enhance clients' ability to reintegrate successfully into the community upon prison release. Through the delivery of treatment services specifically designed to reduce risk of sexual recidivism, you will have the opportunity to effect change, see positive growth from clients, and work with a dedicated, supportive team of treatment professionals. This position offers professional flexibility, professional growth and training opportunities, and the chance to challenge yourself professionally with the support of and encouragement from peers and leadership.
The work schedules for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor. - You currently hold permanent status in the class being recruited for in this job posting.
** Please note the following additional requirements for this position:Two (2) years of demonstrated experience providing individual or group therapy to adult or juvenile offenders, the mentally ill or sex offenders, which includes six (6) months of work experience providing mental health treatment and/or therapy specifically to groups.
