Job Description:
1. Environment & Instance Management
- Define and approve requirements for DEV, QA, and UAT instance provisioning.
- Coordinate environment setup with platform administrators and infrastructure teams.
- Ensure instance availability, access controls, refresh schedules, and configuration consistency across environments.
- Track environment readiness for development, testing, integration, and UAT activities.
- Govern migration paths (DEV 12 QA 12 UAT 12 PROD).
2. Solution Design & Architecture Governance
- Own the overall product vision and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Review and approve High-Level Design (HLD) and Solution Design documents.
- Collaborate with architects on: Application architecture, Data model design, CMDB strategy, Security and compliance requirements, Scalability and performance considerations
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow platform standards and best practices
3. Integration Management
- Identify integration requirements across ServiceNow and external systems.
- Review and approve integration designs and technical specifications.
- Coordinate development of: REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server configurations, Import Sets and Transform Maps, Event-driven integrations, Authentication and security mechanisms
- Ensure integration testing and validation across environments.
4. Artifact Ownership & Governance
- Responsible for reviewing and governing key project artifacts:
- Business Requirements Document (BRD)
- User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
- Solution Design Document (SDD)
- Interface / Integration Design Documents
- Data Mapping Documents
- Test Strategy & Test Cases
- UAT Sign-off Documentation
- Release Notes
- Deployment & Rollback Plans
- Operational Runbooks
- Configuration and Update Set Documentation
5. Product Backlog & Delivery Management
- Own and prioritize the product backlog.
- Define roadmap, releases, and sprint objectives.
- Validate scope, effort estimates, and delivery timelines.
- Drive requirement clarification workshops.
- Remove blockers and facilitate decision-making.
- Track sprint progress and delivery milestones.
6. Quality Assurance & UAT Governance
- Ensure comprehensive QA planning and execution.
- Review test coverage and defect trends.
- Coordinate business stakeholder participation for UAT.
- Validate acceptance criteria fulfillment.
- Obtain formal UAT sign-off before production deployment
7. Release & Deployment Oversight
- Conduct Go-Live readiness reviews.
- Review CAB approvals and release plans.
- Ensure deployment, smoke testing, and rollback procedures are defined.
- Approve production releases after UAT completion.
- Monitor post-production hypercare and issue resolution
8. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between business, platform teams, developers, QA, and operations.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
- Manage expectations and secure executive approvals.
