Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow IRM Developer to support an enterprise AI intake and governance platform. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on ServiceNow IRM developer capable of independently owning requirements from discovery and design through development, testing, and production deployment. The role requires strong ServiceNow platform expertise, JavaScript development skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions while favoring out-of-the-box ServiceNow configuration over unnecessary customization. The developer will collaborate with Business Analysts, development leads, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, maintainable, and audit-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in design and discovery sessions, sprint ceremonies, and Agile development activities.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and development leads to translate business requirements into ServiceNow solutions.
• Develop ServiceNow IRM user stories and take ownership from design through production deployment.
• Design and implement solutions using out-of-the-box ServiceNow configurations wherever possible.
• Develop, configure, test, and deploy ServiceNow IRM solutions based on business requirements.
• Perform functional and technical testing, peer code reviews, defect resolution, and support UAT activities.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation to support audit, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
• Support continuous improvement of ServiceNow IRM capabilities and enterprise AI governance workflows.
• Potentially develop custom applications and solutions using tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow platform best practices, maintainability standards, and configuration-first principles.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of overall ServiceNow development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow IRM development experience.
• 5+ years of JavaScript development experience.
• Strong experience translating business and functional requirements into ServiceNow solutions.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow configuration, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform best practices and configuration-over-customization principles.
• Experience participating in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and iterative development processes.
• Experience with peer code reviews, defect resolution, functional testing, and UAT support.
• Strong technical documentation skills, particularly in environments with audit and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years of Spring Boot experience.
• 2+ years of React UI development experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Experience developing native applications using AWS or Azure services.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise AI governance, risk, intake, or compliance platforms.
Certifications
• Relevant ServiceNow certifications are preferred.
