Lead Our Service Department.We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Service Manager to lead our Service Department. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, develop and support a high-performing team, and ensure exceptional customer service while driving departmental profitability. You'll coordinate technicians, collaborate with sales and parts teams, manage service workflows, and leverage technology to help customers keep their equipment operating at peak performance.
What You'll Do:- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Service Department to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Develop, implement, and monitor service processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and quality.
- Manage department budgets, profitability, and performance goals aligned with company objectives.
- Promote company service offerings, including inspections, maintenance programs, and other value-added services.
- Schedule and assign work to technicians based on skill level and workload.
- Review work orders for accuracy and ensure timely completion, billing, and follow-up.
- Assist customers with service scheduling, equipment repair questions, and technical support.
- Partner with the Parts and Sales teams to provide seamless customer solutions.
- Oversee warranty and product improvement claim processing to maximize reimbursement.
- Ensure all shop tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained in safe working condition.
- Support employee development through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and the Store Manager on staffing, hiring, and employee relations.
- Help coordinate customer events, training sessions, and promotional activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:- 3+ years of experience managing Service Department operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet applications, and dealer business systems.
- Understanding of financial principles related to service operations.
- Ability to analyze reports, prioritize work, and solve problems effectively.
- Familiarity with John Deere equipment and competitive products is preferred.

- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment.

Pay Information:The salary pay range for this position is $65,000 to $100,000. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
In Season Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday 7am-12pm OR 7am-3pm (rotation determined by store)
Off Season/Winter Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
*In Season Hours may be extended during peak seasons (planting, harvest, or any other peak selling season) to meet the needs of the store. Extended Hours are determined by the needs of the store and subject to change. *
*Off Season Hours are from November-March. Start and end date to winter hours is dependent on year and subject to change. *
