Make an impact.As our Service Manager, you'll lead a team of technicians, drive operational performance, and help deliver the exceptional customer service our dealership is known for. You'll have the support, resources, and authority to build an efficient, high-performing service department while helping technicians develop their careers.
What You'll Do:- Lead, coach, and develop a team of service technicians while promoting a positive, safety-focused work environment.
- Schedule and coordinate shop workflow to maximize productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard technicians while supporting ongoing training and professional development.
- Review activity reports related to repairs, rentals, and other performance data to measure productivity and determine areas needing improvement.
- Partner with customers to understand equipment needs, and departmental performance.
- Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, rental fleet service, and equipment transfers between locations.
- Supervise technicians' performance and assign specific duties to ensure that servicing and repairs are completed quickly and efficiently.
- Work closely with the Parts, Rental, and Sales departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and manufacturer procedures.
- Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction by assisting customers and fulfilling customer requests as well as solving any problems by handling complaints or issuing compensation.
- Approve technician timecards, manage staffing schedules, and support day-to-day service department operations.
What We're Looking For:- Previous leadership experience in construction equipment, heavy equipment, diesel, agricultural, industrial, powersports, or related service environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to motivate technicians and build a high-performing team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with service department scheduling, workflow management, and operational performance is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driver's License
- DOT Medical Card of the ability to obtain one.
Job Type: Full-time, salaried position with rotational Saturday (one per month during peak season) as well as rotational on-call support.
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year (dependent upon experience)
