About this roleCarrier Commercial Service is seeking an experienced Service Manager for our Centennial, Colorado Branch location. The Service Manager is responsible for leading a multi-million-dollar service branch and driving market growth for the Carrier Commercial Service business.
Key Responsibilities- Forecast, monitor, and manage service financial performance against operating plan and budget.
- Meet with customers across the service territory to ensure satisfaction, retention, and identification of additional service opportunities.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and develop service technicians to meet workload demands and customer expectations.
- Lead, coach, and hold technicians accountable for effective execution of maintenance, start-ups, repairs, and service agreements.
- Coordinate workforce planning to ensure technicians are scheduled and dispatched properly, with focus on safety, efficiency, skill alignment, and training requirements.
- Resolve warranty claims, product issues, recalls, operational challenges, and customer escalations related to serviced equipment.
- Review work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy and timeliness to ensure proper billing and accounts receivable performance.
- Lead Daily Management Board (DMB) routines, track KPIs, and drive corrective actions to improve service execution and profitability.
- Champion EH&S compliance and foster a strong culture of safety across all service operations.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in a Field Service role.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
- Valid and current Driver's License and can be insurable by the company's insurance.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 2-10 years of commercial HVAC service leadership or equivalent field service leadership experience.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and service delivery models.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with ability to develop teams and drive accountability.
- Technical aptitude with understanding of field diagnostics and service execution.
- Strong business acumen with ability to manage financial performance and operational metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Salesforce, ServiceMax, ERP/SAP systems, or similar service management platforms preferred.
Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other CompensationThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
