Automotive Service Advisor
Colonial Chevrolet of Acton - Acton, Massachusetts

Annual Pay Range: $90,000-$125,000

Colonial Chevrolet of Acton is looking for an energetic, outgoing, and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team.

We are looking for a true people person who enjoys building relationships, works well as part of a team, and is committed to giving every customer an exceptional service experience. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, dependable, and capable of handling a busy service drive while maintaining a positive attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival
  • Listen carefully to customers and accurately document their vehicle concerns
  • Prepare complete and accurate repair orders
  • Review vehicle service history and recommend necessary maintenance
  • Explain recommended repairs and maintenance in clear, understandable terms
  • Provide customers with accurate cost estimates and expected completion times
  • Obtain customer authorization before beginning additional repairs
  • Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the repair process
  • Provide timely updates regarding repair status, costs, and completion times
  • Work closely with technicians, dispatchers, parts employees, and service management
  • Review technician inspection results and communicate recommendations to customers
  • Monitor repairs to help ensure work is completed accurately and on time
  • Coordinate warranty, recall, maintenance, and customer-pay repairs
  • Arrange transportation, shuttle service, rental vehicles, or loaner vehicles when applicable
  • Contact customers regarding declined services and future maintenance needs
  • Review completed repair orders for accuracy before customer delivery
  • Explain completed repairs, warranty coverage, and final charges
  • Process payments and properly close repair orders
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with their service experience
  • Help maintain strong customer satisfaction and manufacturer survey scores
  • Address customer questions or concerns professionally and work toward a timely resolution
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming service-drive environment
  • Follow all dealership, manufacturer, warranty, and safety procedures
  • Protect customer information and dealership records
  • Assist other service advisors and departments when needed
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Service Manager or General Manager

Required Qualifications:
  • Previous automotive service advisor or dealership experience preferred

  • Ability to provide an excellent customer experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders simultaneously
  • Ability to explain automotive repairs and maintenance clearly
  • Sales ability with a customer-first, consultative approach
  • Comfortable using computers, dealership management systems, email, and text messaging
  • Ability to handle customer concerns calmly and professionally
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass any required pre-employment screening
