Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Subcontracts Administrator. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:

Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services. Prepare bid packages, conduct bidders conferences, analyze and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participate with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Education: 8 Years with Bachelor's; 6 Years with Master's; 4 Years with PhD
  • Familiar with FAR provisions and GSC policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge and proven historical performance of cradle to grave subcontract administration
  • Experience preparing subcontractor Request for Proposal (RFP) packages and supporting the NGC acquisition process
  • Experience preparing and presenting briefings to leadership (internal/external)
  • Ability to provide accurate supplier invoice and accrual forecasting
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Master's degree
  • Preferred degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • Ability and willingness to contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals
  • Problem solving aptitude to develop solutions and drive resolution to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Experience creating subcontracts using SAP
  • Experience with cost plus incentive fee/award fee contract types
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Proven leadership ability in high-tempo, multi-task environments within aerospace/defense
  • Experience working in regulated industries, specifically aerospace and defense acquisition
  • Proficiency with SAP (or equivalent enterprise resource planning) for contract and procurement management
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, driving continuous-improvement initiatives


Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
