Summary of the position

We seek a detailed, motivated, and experienced strategist to join our Sentinel team, servicing our Family Wealth and Family Office clients. This individual should have in-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment solutions and family office clients with intricate ownership structures. This role will join our Sentinel advisors in prospecting; client engagements aligning investment strategy with client goals and communicates portfolio decisions clearly and proactively.

Responsibilities
  • Support advisors in proposal creation for UHNW clients, conducting an analysis of the prospects current investments and producing a recommended allocation and transition plan.
  • Assisting advisors in prospect and client meeting, providing support on investment reviews and address any investment related questions.
  • Ongoing engagement with Sequoia Investment Research to maintain a deep understanding of investment solutions and ongoing investment management activity.
  • Track contributions, withdrawals, capital calls, and distributions while maintaining accurate liquidity needs within the client's portfolio.
  • Continuously monitor portfolio allocations for drift relative to IPS guidelines, identifying variances from target ranges and recommending rebalancing when appropriate.
  • Oversee portfolio transition to Sentinel target asset allocations, factoring in tax impact, liquidity windows and clients risk objective.
  • Conduct indication of interest analysis for pending investment opportunities factoring in capacity and recommended sizing.
  • Propose transition and rebalance opportunities to advisors, often with a multiple phased approach.

Required Skills/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in wealth or investment management.
  • Enjoys working in fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across organization through both verbal and written communication.
  • Intermediate understanding of public and private markets including investment structure.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (run and create functions, pivot tables and charts).
