Responsibilities
  • Maintain smooth operation of multiuser computer systems and coordinate with network engineers

  • Monitor and manage system resources such as CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to ensure operating efficiency

  • Perform system security administration, including creating and managing user profiles and accounts

  • Set up administrator accounts and maintain system documentation

  • Tune system performance and install systemwide software

  • Allocate and manage mass storage resources

  • Interact with users to address needs and evaluate vendor products

  • Recommend hardware and software purchases, coordinate installations, and provide backup and recovery support

  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocating and using computing resources

  • Ability to lead junior administrators and mentor technical staff

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with government customers and vendors

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
