JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for a talented hands on quality assurance engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience working on multiple projects on a team of QA engineers and developers that are working on website and mobile application development. Job duties include developing appropriate test strategies which efficiently and effectively validate software operation. Analyze and decompose complicated software systems to understand dependencies and vulnerabilities to most efficiently utilize time and resources for testing. Be able to evaluate, articulate and evangelize QA and testing strategies in review of the test plans and test strategies.Participate in continuous improvement process based on identifying causes of friction which can be removed by changes in process or technology to maximize innovation and help drive those changes to successful adoption.
Principle Responsibilities:- Generating the right kind of test data and infrastructure to run automation suites
- Analyze current state of testing and requirements for automation.
- Design frameworks and implementation strategy for automation to support the projects.
- Evaluate, select and formulate best usage of test automation tools and future alignment for different products and applications.
- Responsible for maintaining, improving and implementing the QA automation framework.
- Collaborate with project teams to strategize and align long term solutions for automation including a roadmap, tools, framework and approach.
- Develop automation strategy to support regression testing based on technical analysis, complexity and reusability
- Perform test automation utilizing tools such as selenium web driver and cucumber.
- Perform load testing using a variety of tools that include LoadRunner and Jmeter.
- Ensure enterprise projects adherence and compliance to the QA automation testing processes and standards.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in automation, data profiling and validation. Also stay informed about technology developments for performance monitoring, load testing and other related performance monitoring technologies in order to deliver quality solutions.
- Build and foster relationships within the technology group and business groups to ensure mutual goals and objectives are met.
Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, Crucible, Fisheye and Zephyr a plus
- SQL Skills, ability to build queries to support testing and test data mining
- Cross browser testing experience required
- Mobile apps testing experience a plus
