This role is focused on retaining and growing net assets over time by delivering proactive, tailored financial advice through a highly personal and strategic approach.

This role requires a natural leader-someone who can confidently serve as the lead advisor within a dedicated client practice team, which includes a Wealth Advisor and a Client Experience Specialist. While not a people management position, this role will set the tone for how the team shows up for clients: leading with empathy, clarity, and insight to deliver a first-class experience.

Guide clients through portfolio strategy conversations and financial planning decisions that align with their long-term goals. By building trust and delivering a consistently exceptional experience, you'll deepen relationships, increase engagement, and strengthen net asset retention and growth.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as the lead advisor within a dedicated client team, working in close collaboration with a Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist to build lasting relationships with a dedicated book of Empower clients enrolled in our Premier and Brokerage services
  • Deliver a first-class client experience by leading proactive, personalized conversations that address onboarding, financial planning, and ongoing investment education
  • Engage clients through a combination of video conference, email, phone, and meetings in person-balancing proactive outreach with responsive service to meet evolving needs
  • Retain and grow assets under management by building trust through clear communication, meaningful education, and thoughtful follow-through
  • Guide clients through Empower's investment strategy, helping them understand and implement portfolio solutions aligned with their goals, risk tolerance, and financial plan
  • Deliver holistic financial planning across a wide range of topics, including retirement income strategies, tax-efficient savings, and education planning-partnering with Planning Specialists on more complex planning scenarios
  • Coordinate with your advisory team and stakeholders across Empower Personal Wealth to ensure timely and effective resolution of client needs
  • Model leadership within the client team by delegating, coaching, and developing colleagues to enhance performance and elevate the client experience
  • Willingness and ability to effectively delegate, coach, train, and develop colleagues and resources.

What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor Degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years related work experience in financial services and client experience
  • Previous experience with direct client contact while exhibiting a knowledgeable, professional demeanor is required
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations required
  • FINRA fingerprinting required
  • Advanced knowledge of wealth management strategies, financial planning, tax and income optimization, and estate planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; detail oriented; able to manage many time-sensitive tasks simultaneously; pro-active self-starter, strong situational awareness and contextual thinking, and strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Exceptional at delivering effective client consultations - always composed, professional, and skilled at establishing trust and building long-term client relationships
  • Proven ability to navigate multiple client needs, deliver on multi-product goals, and analyze and present investment portfolios to clients

What Will Set You Apart
  • CFP preferred
