Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will shape resilient water systems and help communities and clients make informed decisions in a changing environment. Join our Surface Water Team in Mississauga, Ontario, where you will guide junior consultants, partner with senior specialists, and bring practical water resources solutions to complex multidisciplinary projects across Canada and internationally.
Your Impact- Lead water resources assignments spanning water balances, hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, floodplain mapping, dam-breach analysis, river engineering, and mine-water applications.
- Develop technical solutions and designs for water diversions, control structures, stormwater systems, channels, culverts, weirs, and spillways.
- Apply hydrodynamic and water-quality modelling to baseline studies, impact assessments, options evaluations, and permitting deliverables.
- Manage projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver clear, practical outcomes for clients locally, regionally, and internationally.
- Guide junior consultants, share technical knowledge, and contribute to a collaborative culture of learning and quality.
- Partner with senior engineers and specialists across Canada and globally to solve complex surface-water challenges.
- Plan and interpret surface-water quantity and quality monitoring programs, including streamflow evaluations and field data.
- Contribute to technical reports, approvals, and recommendations that support resilient infrastructure and responsible environmental decisions.
The Skills That Set You Apart- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or equivalent education; a master's degree or higher is an asset.
- Eight or more years of demonstrated water resources consulting experience, including hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic, or water-quality modelling.
- A valid professional engineering designation in Ontario, or active progress toward designation.
- Experience preparing surface-water baseline and impact assessments, permit and approval deliverables, and water-management designs.
- Hands-on proficiency with relevant tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, CORMIX, MIKE 3, AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office; GoldSim experience is an asset.
- Experience analysing and designing stormwater management systems and hydraulic structures; exposure to mine-water management or streamflow monitoring is an asset.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to learn new systems and deliver effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- An unrestricted Ontario Class G driver's licence, a clean driver's abstract, and access to a vehicle.
CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
