About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic and digitally savvy candidate with the skills, creativity and passion to solve difficult real estate location, occupancy and financial problems with your innovative thinking and ideas. We are targeting a high performer to provide focused training, one-on-one mentoring, and career guidance to help you gain the expertise and know-how that you need to become a future leader in the commercial real estate advisory industry.

The Vice President, Portfolio Strategy Consulting will report to the SVP of Innovation and work on developing innovative business and real estate related studies for Colliers' Occupier Services and Corporate Solutions clients and platforms. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and managing complex business, real estate and analytical projects. A key responsibility will be to delve deep into client portfolios to identify potential transaction opportunities and create business cases for change.

Key to the position is the ability to synthesize complex business and real estate problems into solutions for our clients. The candidate must exhibit strong analytical problem-solving capability, exceptional digital and technical capabilities across multiple platforms, ability to lead complex projects, develop presentations and have strong public speaking skills. This position is client facing and will have revenue production responsibilities.

In this role, you will...
  • Lead consulting assignments using highly analytical frameworks and problem-solving methodologies
  • Lead commercial real estate portfolio optimization, location strategy, site selection and planning studies
  • Have expertise in financial modeling and market analytics and the ability to highlight the critical takeaways that bolster recommendations
  • Client facing, lead and present Metro-Market Strategies to C-Suite and BU leads in compelling ways that tell a comprehensive story
  • Leverage knowledge of Business Intelligence and technology-based platform development and expertise (ex. Tableau or Qlik products) to produce compelling analytical insights that lead to action
  • Autonomously identify supply-side location and property-level opportunities which Enterprise clients can take advantage of. Develop business cases that justify action and change.
  • Generate agreed-upon level of revenue per year for the Service-line.
  • Business analytics and key performance indicator development
  • Best-in-class Business case, financial, market analysis and cost benefit analysis capabilities
  • Ability to handle job stress, interact effectively with others in the workplace, and act with honesty and composure in public
  • Lead and create commercial-grade consulting presentations integrating multiple media types into presentation templates and formats
  • Synthesize and present consulting solutions to clients
  • Be available to support business development presentations and pitches for prospective clients.
  • This position requires up to 20%-30% travel.


What you bring
  • 7-10 years' experience in real estate and/or management consulting practice
  • MBA or M.S. in Real Estate is mandatory
  • Expert in Microsoft office products
  • Ability to lead studies in business intelligence platforms (Ex. Tableau or Qlik)
  • Experience and/or familiarity with IWMS and CAFM systems
  • Training or experience in location, economic and/or site selection methodology
  • Training in process analysis including Lean Thinking and Six-Sigma methodologies a plus
  • Exceptional oral, written and graphic presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Multi-tasker in controlling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously


Pursuant to local law, Colliers is disclosing the following information:

Approximate Compensation Range for Role: $195,268 to $225,000

Area/Location Specific: Various Locations Listed

Our Compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Employees (and their families) are provided options for employer subsidized medical benefits including RX, dental, vision as well as employer paid basic life/AD&D insurance and short-term/long-term disability. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes an employer match. Employees will also receive 10 days of sick leave and a minimum of 15-days vacation annually. Certain senior-level roles are eligible for unlimited time off. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days throughout the calendar year. Twelve weeks (for birth parents) and 4 weeks (for non-birth parents, including adoptive/foster parents) of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of 90 days of employment. Individuals may be eligible for different or additional benefits under applicable state law.

Bonus
This position is eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.
