Job Details

Summary
The Senior Value Engineer builds the economic case that wins our most strategic deals - quantifying customer pain, modelling the value of solving it, and giving our sellers something a CFO will take seriously. This is a senior role within the Value Engineering Practice, part of Global Revenue Readiness & Enablement.

Who are you?

You are a value engineer, consultant or solution engineer with real financial rigour, and you would rather change the outcome of a handful of strategic deals than touch every opportunity. You are as comfortable in a discovery session as you are in a spreadsheet, and you know a business case only counts when the customer agrees with the assumptions. You want ownership of the method, not just execution of it - you uwill work alongside Revenue teams on how value engagements are run, and you will own the craft. Roughly 60% of your time sits in live strategic opportunities, 25% building models, tools and reusable assets, and 15% coaching the field. This role sits within Global Revenue Readiness & Enablement, reporting to the VP of GRRE.

The responsibilities of the role include:
  • Partner with account executives and solution consultants on selected strategic opportunities - run value discovery, establish the current-state baseline and the cost of inaction, and quantify the value drivers
  • Build clear, transparent financial and operational models, and validate the inputs and assumptions directly with customer stakeholders
  • Develop executive-ready decision cases - benefit ranges, investment, ROI, TCO, payback and risk treatment - and support the account team in presenting them to senior customer stakeholders
  • Give sellers a defensible economic case to anchor the investment decision and hold price
  • Own our ROI platform in live deals - configure it, connect it to credible assumptions, and make its output something a customer will sign up to
  • Work alongside Revenue teams to shape the value methodology: engagement criteria, discovery standards, modelling standards and quality expectations
  • Hand the accepted value baseline to Services and Customer Success so the case carries into delivery, adoption and renewal
  • Build reusable value assets - industry value maps, use-case models, benchmark libraries, calculators and executive narratives - so the capability scales beyond one person
  • Coach account executives and solution consultants, and help embed value selling into sales plays, MEDDPICC and field readiness
What we're looking for:

Must have skills/experience:
  • 5+ years in value engineering, value consulting, management consulting, business transformation, or solution consulting with strong financial rigour
  • A track record of building business cases in complex enterprise sales cycles - ROI, TCO and payback - and seeing them used in live deals
  • Strong financial modelling, and the intellectual honesty to challenge an assumption rather than accept a convenient one
  • Confident running value discovery with senior business stakeholders, and comfortable contributing in an executive conversation
  • Able to make a complex case concise - clear writing, clean models, and a story a seller can retell
  • Self-directed. This is a new function, and you will be building as you go
  • Based in North America, with willingness to travel to customers at the level expected of an account executive or solution consultant
Advantageous skills/experience:
  • Experience presenting business cases directly to CFO, COO or CIO stakeholders
  • Industry fluency in financial services, insurance or healthcare
  • Background in enterprise SaaS environments
  • Familiarity with value platforms and ROI tooling
  • Experience with MEDDPICC or a comparable qualification methodology
  • Experience coaching account executives or solution consultants on value-based selling
What's the deal?

We will provide you with the tools, equipment and support to give you the best possible chance of success and over-achieving your goals. Salary will depend on your experience and will be highly competitive.

In addition to a friendly, flexible and fun working environment, we provide a range of other benefits, including extensive health, dental and vision insurance, employer-funded health savings account, flexible spending plan, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability insurance, gym membership reimbursement, and 401K contribution, as well as 18 days' holiday allowance plus an additional day off on your birthday!

This role is fully remote.

So if we interest you, please let us know by applying for this position and tell us all about yourself.
