Full Job Description
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage Research and Survey Analytics customer analysis deep dives, execute the strategies outlined by senior leadership, and manage the day-to-day communication with clients.

Job Description:

dentsu is seeking an experienced Senior UX Researcher to lead qualitative and quantitative research initiatives for a strategic client with whom we have an established relationship and significant opportunity. This is a backfill role on a long-term partnership where you will deepen our research partnership and elevate the quality of our delivery. You will be the onshore research lead for an engagement operating at the intersection of rigorous methodology, client relationship management, and fast-turnaround insights delivery.

This role requires someone who is equally comfortable designing and moderating complex in-depth interviews, executing quantitative survey research (including statistical analysis), and translating findings into client-ready insights, while maintaining a client partnership that spans frequent touchpoints, competing priorities, and high-stakes presentations. Study design is typically provided by the client; your differentiation will be in execution excellence, insight depth, and the confidence clients have in your team.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and execute in-depth interviews, diary studies, and quantitative surveys across diverse research questions and participant populations
• Serve as the primary onshore point of contact for the client, managing expectations, solving problems proactively, and presenting findings with clarity and confidence
• Synthesize both qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights, distinguishing between observation, interpretation, and recommendation
• Lead or support US-based studies independently while contributing expertise and support to the offshore India research team on larger or complex engagements
• Own fieldwork execution, including partnership with the participant recruitment team, moderation, data quality, and timeline management in a fast-paced consulting environment
• Maintain the highest standards of research rigor and client communication; your work directly influences renewal decisions and account growth
• Collaborate with quant research partners when studies require data analysis or statistics (e.g. MaxDiff / TURF / Conjoint)
• Manage ambiguity and navigate client relationships with calm, problem-solving orientation, especially when competing priorities or unclear direction arise

Required Experience and Skills
• Minimum 5-7 years of professional UX or market research experience
• Demonstrable expertise in conducting in-depth interviews (IDIs) and diary studies across multiple research contexts; evidence of extensive fieldwork
• Hands-on experience designing and analyzing quantitative survey research, including exposure to statistical methods and either / both R / Python
• Strong synthesis and analytical skills: ability to identify patterns, surface surprising insights, and distinguish between data, interpretation, and speculation
• Excellent written communication; ability to produce polished, research-defensible insight documents and client presentations
• Proven client-facing skills: you can present findings with confidence, handle pushback with grace, and maintain professional composure under pressure
• Comfort working independently on projects while also supporting larger team efforts; ability to balance autonomy with close collaboration
• Experience moderating research with diverse populations and the ability to adapt your approach to different participant contexts
• Ability to work in a consulting environment: fast timelines, shifting priorities, and competing stakeholder needs are normal

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with technology companies or in consumer tech research
• Familiarity with research platforms such as dscout, Qualtrics, SPSS, or similar tools
• Background in behavioral economics, user psychology, or related frameworks
• Experience working with distributed or offshore research teams
• Exposure to competitive intelligence or market research methodologies

What We're Looking For (Beyond the Resume)
• A researcher who thinks about the client relationship as part of the research itself, you understand that how you present and communicate findings shapes whether the client will act on them
• Someone who is energized by working under ambiguity and can help clients clarify what they actually need to know
• A collaborator who is happy to chip in where needed on team projects but also thrives owning your own studies from design through delivery
• A person who cares deeply about research rigor and can explain why methodological choices matter in plain language to researchers and non-researchers alike
• Someone who stays calm when clients are frustrated, stressed, or changing direction mid-project, and who can see the research problem underneath the emotion
