Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Investment & Treasury Analyst at UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement, based in our Evanston, Illinois, office. The Senior Treasury Analyst will support ULRI and ULSE’s financial stewardship by assisting with debt compliance, tax filings, treasury operations, investment reporting, and governance materials, while partnering with Finance, Accounting, Legal, external advisors, and leadership on strategic initiatives.

This is a hybrid role.

What you’ll learn and achieve:

As the Senior Investment & Treasury Analyst you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

  • Monitor debt agreements, loan covenants, financing arrangements, and related compliance requirements.

  • Coordinate post-issuance compliance for tax-exempt and taxable debt.

  • Assist with private business use reviews, record retention, and debt-financed asset documentation.

  • Maintain debt compliance calendars, reporting schedules, and supporting analyses.

  • Support future financing transactions, refinancing initiatives, and capital structure evaluations.

  • Assist with federal, state, and local tax filings, including Forms 990, 990-T, 4720, and other regulatory filings.

  • Support tax compliance for tax-exempt organizations, supporting organizations, grants, sponsorships, and new revenue streams.

  • Assist with IRS and state tax authority examinations, inquiries, and information requests.

  • Support tax accounting, financial statement disclosures, audit requirements, and related reporting.

  • Assist with treasury operations, including banking administration, cash management, wire transfers, and liquidity monitoring.

  • Coordinate investment portfolio meetings, performance reporting, reconciliations, and portfolio monitoring.

  • Prepare management, Audit Committee, and Board materials while partnering with Finance, Accounting, Legal, external advisors, and operational leaders on strategic initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:
