Senior Transportation EngineerResponsibilities:We are currently seeking a Transportation Design Engineer for immediate employment in our Columbus, Ohio or Indianapolis, Indiana office. The Successful candidate will have demonstrated professional experience in a wide roadway and highway projects.
Below are a few of the key qualifications they are looking for:
- Perform complex engineering road and highway tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
- Extract engineering information from CAD drawings. Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
- Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
- Frequently interface with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
- Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and other Engineers working on the same project.
- May be required to sign and seal documents as the professional Engineer of Record, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
- Design experience in structures and/or highway Department of Transportation (DOT) projects
- PE License, NCEES certified with ability to be licensed in any State
Job Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 6+ years of related work experience.
- PE in Indiana and or Ohio preferred.
- Experience with design and plan development for DOT and transit projects; INDOT and ODOT preferred.
- Proficiency with OpenRoads, MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Diversified knowledge of technology, materials, equipment, design concepts and construction techniques.
