The Senior Training Specialist is an integral member of the team, responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs that support operational excellence and employee performance across the organization. The Senior Training Specialist is accountable for the successful onboarding of new team members as well as the ongoing training and development of existing employees. 

This role will lead and/or facilitate the execution of training initiatives, develop scalable learning solutions, and create engaging training content that supports business objectives. The Senior Training Specialist will partner closely with business leaders, Talent Development, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify learning needs, design effective training programs, and measure training effectiveness. 

Additionally, this role will assess organizational training needs over time to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency. This includes creating and managing training programs, developing and maintaining learning resources, overseeing Learning Management System (LMS) content and administration, and evaluating the tools and resources needed to support a best-in-class learning experience. 

This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday at the Irvine Office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage the training lifecycle for onboarding, role-based learning, and ongoing professional development programs. 
  • Lead the facilitation of onboarding programs to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning experience for new team members and support successful integration into the organization. 
  • Design, develop, facilitate, and continuously improve instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning programs for onboarding, role-based training, and ongoing professional development. 
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS), managing content governance, learning paths, reporting, and system functionality while recommending enhancements to improve the learner experience and operational efficiency. 
  • Evaluate learning technologies, instructional tools, and training processes, recommending improvements that enhance program effectiveness, scalability, and employee performance.  
  • Consult with Talent Development and leadership to translate business priorities into effective learning solutions, providing recommendations on curriculum design, instructional methods, and learning resources to support operational objectives.  
  • Analyze learner feedback, training metrics, and operational performance data to recommend enhancements to training programs, learning content, and related business processes.  
  • Exercise independent judgment in developing, implementing, and continuously improving learning programs while working under the guidance of leadership to support organizational initiatives. 
  • Compliance with company standards as defined in the Human Resources Policy Manual, E-Way Processes and Procedures, and applicable laws, e.g., Fair Housing, Landlord Tenant, Local Building Codes, OSHA, and EEOC

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

WHAT THE JOB REQUIRES:

  • Work is primarily conducted in an office setting. Requires sitting at a desk or workstation for extended periods. Involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
  • Operates in a fast-paced work setting. Requires the ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities. May involve tight deadlines and high-energy work situations.
  • Involves frequent interaction with clients or customers. Requires effective communication skills and a professional demeanor. Work environment may include client offices, meeting rooms, or other external locations.
  • This role demands availability for five days each week, with the potential for including weekends in the schedule as necessary.
  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Minimal physical effort in the day-to-day tasks.

New hires generally start between $73,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.

This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
