Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Training Specialist located in the Washington, D.C. area.

What you'll do:

The Senior Training Specialist will provide training and development support to a U.S. Navy program office.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and supervise training and development programs for employees and external customers to help employees develop new skills and enhance productivity while improving the quality of work.
  • Plan and develop programs for training by assessing and identifying training needs created by problems within the organization.
  • Set up teaching materials and lesson plans prior to classes and issue completion certificates at the end of the class.
  • Consult with onsite supervisors regarding available performance improvement services.
  • Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
  • Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation
  • Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items
  • Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations
  • Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required
  • Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC's clients. Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience providing training and development support to U.S. Navy program offices
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in any field from an institution accredited in the United States
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
