Full Job Description
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field, Education, Training & Development, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in creating effective learning experiences for professional training and development including instructional design of in-person and remote courses.

3. Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively to different audiences, including senior personnel such as high-ranking officers. Proficiency in both written and verbal communication is essential.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Experience working with or within military organizations, especially the US Navy and USMC. Understanding the culture, practices, and protocols of these organizations would be advantageous.

2. Experience with AI or similar technologies, their deployment, and their implementation, signifying a strong understanding of the respective field's complexities and challenges.

3. Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize complex curricula for diverse learning modalities (synchronous, asynchronous, in-person, remote). Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and tools is highly desirable.

4. Experience in organizing and managing events like seminars, summits, or conferences with a focus on technology.

This is an in-person or remote position, without preference for one or the other. The position requires availability for travel to give or oversee training events and to the in-person quarterly summits. A total of about eight trips per year is anticipated.

Sample tasks and responsibilities:
• Devise and optimize curricula for remote or in-person, synchronous and asynchronous short courses
• Organize short courses, including speakers, attendees, presentation material, handout material, hands-on exercises, surveys.
• Present select material from the short courses, in-person and/or remote.
• Organize a regular quarterly "AI Summit" at which technical experts and experienced operators engage in structured information sessions with attendees who want to become more proficient at leading their organizations towards adopting AI systems and practices.
• Teach such a short course for senior officers of the US Navy and USMC ("Lead AI Senior")
